Overview

The Electrical Foundation program prepares students for entry-level positions as electrical apprentices with contracting companies involved in residential, commercial and industrial construction and maintenance. Students learn to access and utilize resource materials, follow procedures and make sound decisions while installing and maintaining electrical equipment.

Program Outline

The full-time, 24-week program is competency based. The program delivers the complete theoretical and practical outcomes of the provincially accredited Level 1 Electrical Work Apprenticeship program.

Admission Requirements
  • Grade 12 with Physics 11 (PH 11) recommended
  • English 10 or ENGL 030 or ENGL 032; and Principles of Math 10 or Foundation and Pre-Calculus 10 or MATH 0301/0302 or MATH 032, or Apprenticeship & Workplace Math 11
  • Permission of Instructor
